On September 8, 2024, Kitzbühel will once again become the hotspot of the cycling world. This year, prominent names like Christoph Strasser and Andy Schleck will be at the start of the largest sporting event in Kitzbühel, measured by the number of participants.

In ten days, the fourth edition of the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon (KRM) will take place. Over 1,000 athletes from more than 20 nations have already registered to tackle the challenging course of 216 kilometers and 4,600 meters of elevation. A special highlight is the participation of the exceptional athlete and Race Across America record-holder, Christoph Strasser, who will be accompanying and mentally supporting a participant during the race. “I am very excited to compete in the KRM alongside Christoph Strasser. His expertise in mental strength during extreme distances will certainly be helpful at the key moments of the race,” said participant Anna Moser.

KRM ambassador and former professional cyclist Andy Schleck is also returning: “This race takes place in one of the most beautiful regions I know. I look forward to it every year.” Last year’s third placed, Jack Burke, also highlights the unique trophy: “The KRM has by far the coolest trophy. Seeing your name on a KitzSki gondola, something usually reserved for skiers, is truly unique in cycling and motivates me to participate in 2024.” KRM21 winner Janine Meyer is also back at the start.

The registration deadline for the KRM is August 31 at 11:59 PM. Late registrations will still be possible at higher rates.

The race weekend begins on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Kitzbühel Primary School with the distribution of start numbers, late registrations, and cloakroom drop-off. Starting at 12:00 PM, the KRM Pasta Party in the BH-Hof next to the KC 750 Culture Café invites everyone to kick off the event together. The KRM EXPO opens its doors at 2:00 PM. The race itself starts on Sunday at 6:30 AM, followed by the awards ceremony at 5:00 PM in Vorderstadt.
