On October 1, 2022 the registration for the 3rd edition of the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon starts. Also 2023 it will be again #supersteep in the most legendary sports town in the Alps, but there are also some interesting new features.

The third edition of the KRM will take place on August 27, 2023. The new attractive date in August means that participants now have even more time to prepare optimally for the KRM challenge. Previously, the #supersteep event took place in July.

One route – two finish

The route remains the same in 2023, but a second finish is added. In the future, starters will be able to choose which finish they want to experience. In addition to the finish at the Kitzbüheler Horn, from next year there will be a second finish in the Kitzbühel Vorderstadt, and the route for participants in the “KRM Kitz” will be shortened from 216 to 209 kilometers. “So that we can appeal to even more ambitious cyclists, there will be an additional finish in Kitzbühel’s city center. Not all participants want to take on the challenge of the Kitzbüheler Horn. Because the ascent, as we all know, is really steep!” explains Mayor Dr. Klaus Winkler. “For this purpose, the event area moves directly into the city center. This makes the flair of the KRM in the Kitzbühel city center even more noticeable than in the last two years,” said KRM organizer Franz Steinberger and KRM event director Marina Janda.

The honors for both arrivals will take place in the new start-finish area in the Vorderstadt. “The first two editions of the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon have already shown what an enormous challenge this race is for the participants. Kitzbühel is known for exceptional sporting events, so I see the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon as another significant milestone in our extensive sports program,” says Mayor Dr. Klaus Winkler.
