#supersteep X-Mas - Kitzbüheler Radmarathon

The whole team of the Kitzbüheler Radmarathon wishes you a merry Christmas. Enjoy the quiet days around the holidays with your loved ones. For our race on July 10, 2022 we also have some news: For the first time there will be a Mountains Classification on the 216 kilometers, where the climbing times to the Paß Thurn, the Gerlos Pass, the Kerschbaumer Sattel as well as to the Kitzbüheler Horn will be added. A gift basket from the Wiesbauer company will be awarded for this Mountains Classification.

The mountains classification brings a new feature to the cycling marathon sport. Because with a special timekeeping the fastest climbing times are added up. Separate measuring points ensure that all four major climbs of the race invite the climbers to be active. Our long-standing partner Wiesbauer honors these efforts with a bulging gift basket.

Team performance at the KRM relay

216 kilometers and 4,600 meters of altitude are an absolute test of endurance for every cyclist, but the distance can also be shared among several shoulders at the KRM. Because the adventure in the Kitzbühel Alps can also be completed as a relay.

In threes, the marathon can be divided into sections of 50, 70 as well as 90 kilometers and thus newcomers can gain first impressions and an unforgettable team experience at the KRM. The innovative format is completely new to the marathon scene and allows an even wider group of athletes to participate in one of the highlights of the Austrian cycling year.

The first section leads from Kitzbühel to Wald im Pinzgau. The second handover takes place in Brixlegg, where the last participant then completes the final part to the finish line.
